The Mifflin Family To Newfoundland
In 1730, Samson Mifflin from Warminster, Wiltshire England, went to Poole England to work in the fishing industry in Newfoundland. Descendants of this branch include S.W. Mifflin, merchant at Catalina Newfoundland, Chief Justice Mifflin, of the Newfoundland Supreme Court, and Miss Jessie Mifflen (note spelling). Jessie is with the Department of Education and has travelled extensively as librarian, she has written many articles and one was published in the Family Herald and Weekly Star.
